Mai Dangari
Mai Dangari, the 4th ruler of Pataskum brought an end to the incessant raids on Kare-Kare and Ngizim towns by the Fulani Jihadists known as Muhammadu Wabi (Hamma Wabi) a Fulani of Dilara origin was defeated at battle in 1824. With Hamma Wabi’s defeat, his brother Sambolai was forced to relocate westward where he founded Jama’are. Similarly, Ajiya of Misau and Tafida of Misau Potiskum Period of Repression

On 5th August 1993, Yobe State Government under Governor Bukar Abba Ibrahim went ahead with Emirates re-establishment of the Potiskum Maidom and other areas such as Tikau and Gudi.Potiskum Local Government

This is the first well in Pataskum. A historical site also called Awany's well or Duwa Duka in the Ngizim language.
